What fun creating an intimate 1920’s cabaret atmosphere! A little pipe and drape can go a long way when you add a few scenic touches. In this design, I carved (2) 12’ high proscenium bases that attached to a canvas drop to create one large arched opening with our “Encore - E” as the crowning key stone. At the intersection of each line was a rosette medallion finished with a pearl. A crystal chandelier hung just off center to add a bit of sparkle along with crystal beads hanging in front of the sheer curtains used as a cyc. A large swagged curtain adorned with 3 oversized beaded tassels and detailed fringe completed the look. Art Deco footlights were designed for the front of the stage to help create an open barrier from the Cast and the Patrons of the show. Coordinating floral arrangements were added to the tables and piano to tie the entire look together.
